Instagram 的主要競爭對手、照片編輯應(yīng)用公司 VSCO 近日關(guān)閉了其位于紐約分部，并遣散了員工。據(jù)悉，這一決定是為了將員工集中在奧克蘭公司總部，以更好的應(yīng)對市場競爭。除了紐約分部以外，VSCO 還在丹佛設(shè)有辦事處，也正是在并購丹佛了的設(shè)計工作室 Artifact Uprising 后，原 VSCO 工作室正式更名為 VSCO 有限責(zé)任公司。

VSCO 官方網(wǎng)站上羅列了部分職位空缺，丹佛和奧克蘭兩處辦公室均有涉及。紐約遣散的員工表示，他們被告知其中將有部分被遷往這兩處，具體人數(shù)目前尚不清楚。VSCO 官方對此次遣散事件人數(shù)方面等細(xì)節(jié)也未透露具體細(xì)節(jié)，如紐約分部關(guān)閉時在職員工人數(shù)，以及此次遣散員工占公司總?cè)藬?shù)比重。不過據(jù)相關(guān)媒體透露，VSCO 在職員工超過 100 人，其中 80 多人就職于奧克蘭總部。

VSCO 紐約分部于去年開設(shè)，旨在為紐約員工提供辦事處以及開放式攝影工作室。實際上開設(shè)紐約分部的規(guī)劃早在 2014 年提出。當(dāng)時 VSCO 剛在A輪融資中獲 4000 萬美元投資，希望借助設(shè)立紐約分部來擴(kuò)大公司規(guī)模，實現(xiàn)員工人數(shù)的成倍增長。

公司負(fù)責(zé)人向媒體證實關(guān)閉紐約分部的事實，而他們原計劃擴(kuò)展紐約分部的工作室，隨著此次變動，擴(kuò)展計劃將轉(zhuǎn)而在奧克蘭總部實行。
